Soccer fans, coaches and players will have access to online content that focuses on player-related data.

Genius Sports Limited has teamed up with Liga MX franchise Club Necaxa in a new data tracking and video augmentation partnership. The company will install its AI and machine-learning powered cameras at the Estadio Victoria that will capture detailed player-related data, including shot velocity, player speeds and expected goal conversion rates.

As part of the agreement, Genius Sports and Necaxa will work together to create augmented live video feeds that will offer data-driven visual aids to Liga MX fans.

Club Necaxa Co-Owner and Co-Managing Partner Sam Porter commented: "Genius Sports is a company that Necaxa is proud to be partners with. We believe that Genius Sports will greatly improve the product and experience we provide to our fans both on and off the pitch, in exciting new ways.”

Porter went on to note the club’s high regard for the well-being of its players.

“The Second Spectrum technology will also provide us with a greater ability to analyze our players’ health and performance, which is of the utmost importance to our club."

The partnership will also benefit Nexaca’s coaches and players. They will have access to tactical and panoramic videos that will allow them to examine play-by-plays and on-field game details.

“Necaxa is quickly positioning itself as one of the most innovative and dynamic clubs in LATAM sports,” said Fernando Martinez, Head of LATAM Commercial at Genius Sports. “We’re thrilled to be providing them with our world-class tracking and video augmentation tools, setting a new bar for Liga MX fan experiences and enabling a new level of analysis before, during and after every home game.”
