The launch by the new iGaming media company intends to encourage responsible gambling.

Game Theory Optimal (GTO) has released two new US online gambling networks: Gaming Review and the Shield Network. The launches fall in line with the company’s ongoing focus on US expansion.

GTO was co-founded by Michael Gentile and Nicholas Jones. Gentile and Jones both have more than 10 years of iGaming publishing experience.

“Launching GTO is a natural progression of the work Nick and I have been doing in the global online poker space for more years,” Gentile said.

“With more than ten years working in the US and global online poker market, it makes sense for us to take this knowledge and experience and apply it to the growing opportunity in the regulated US markets, focusing on the huge opportunity in online casino and sports betting.”

Gaming Review is a network of websites that provides consumer-focused reviews for online casinos, poker rooms and for sports betting. The sites focus primarily on the US market.

The Shield Network is made up of three sites that are dedicated to responsible gambling. Casino Shield, Sports Shield and Poker Shield fall under the Play Safe Online strapline and encourage players to make wise gambling decisions when playing online.

“Responsible gaming has always been important to me personally, and that’s why it’s exciting to be part of this new company that puts responsible gaming at the very core of its business,” said Samantha Bevington, who leads the sites. “The Shield sites put a much-needed spotlight on responsible gaming efforts and their impacts in the United States and Canada as legal gambling and sports betting proliferate.”
