Fubo Gaming, the iGaming subsidiary of the streaming platform FuboTV, has signed a market access agreement with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
This deal will see Fubo Sportsbook become the team’s official sports betting partner following the earning of regulatory approval.
Via this agreement, which follows the legalization of sports betting in the Buckeye State, Fubo Sportsbook will offer the NBA franchise’s fans exclusive deals and benefits.
Moreover, this partnership will see the launch of a 3,000 square foot sports lounge inside of the Cavaliers’ home stadium, the Rock Mortgage FieldHouse. This venue will feature a sportsbook as well as TVs to allow fans to watch NBA games.
Ohio represents an important move for Fubo’s iGaming ambitions, according to Scott Butera, President and CEO of Fubo Gaming, who appeared in a recent GA Huddle.
“The opportunity to enter the Ohio sports betting market with the Cavaliers as our partner is a major step forward for Fubo.
“Ohio has a passionate fan base who will enjoy Fubo’s uniquely integrated streaming and wagering sports betting experience. The Cavs are at the forefront of sports innovation and consistently create highly engaging fan experiences. This partnership provides Fubo instant access to a highly attractive customer base.”
Fubo first launched its sports betting offering in late 2021, with the brand currently live in two states, Iowa and Arizona.
“This is an exciting evolution of our continued partnership with Fubo Gaming,” added Len Komoroski, CEO, Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
“The Fubo Sportsbook mobile wagering platform provides leading technology, connectivity and entertainment that aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and engagement across every aspect of the fan experience. We look forward to the continued collaboration with Fubo as we work to establish a sports betting marketplace to offer our fans in Cleveland and throughout the state of Ohio.”
