The operator hopes this agreement will position it well should sports betting launch in the Lone Star State.

PlayUp has partnered with the Panther City Lacrosse Club, becoming the team’s first sports gaming partner. Through this, the operator becomes a founding partner, fantasy sports partner and esports partner to the team.

A key factor of this deal is the potential market access it brings to PlayUp. Indeed, should sports betting launch in Panther City’s home state of Texas, this agreement will position the operator well to receive a sports betting license in the jurisdiction.

Panther City’s President and CEO, Greg Bibb, is also excited for the potential this agreement brings.

“We are thrilled to welcome PlayUp as a partner of Panther City Lacrosse Club. We look forward to introducing our fans to the PlayUp brand and we are proud to wear the PlayUp name on our game jersey.”

As part of the partnership, PlayUp will feature on the Panther City jersey, as well as gaining stadium and broadcast branding. The brand will also provide VIP hospitality for PlayUp customers.

“Texas is an evolving state in terms of sports betting and should legalization occur, we want to ensure we are positioned to maximize that opportunity. We are excited by this partnership with Panther City as it gives PlayUp a great opportunity to grow our brand and connect directly with fans throughout the state,” noted the PlayUp USA Chairman, Dennis Drazin.

The Panther City Lacrosse Club plays its matches at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. According to the brand’s reporting, this is the largest sponsorship deal in National Lacrosse League history.
