DraftKings made its initial moves into the Kansas market today by announcing a collaboration with BHCMC, LLC, subsidiary of Butler National Corporation and the manager of Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
The collaboration is dependent on certain criteria being met, including the state adopting sports betting legislation and regulations as well as the authorization of all outstanding licenses and approvals.
The move is the latest in a drive by DraftKings to establish its presence in every state that allows gambling. As of now, the group operates in 18 states.
Jeremy Elbaum, Senior Vice President Business Development at DraftKings explained how the deal with Boot Hill fit in with their overall goals: “As we continue our quest to expand our mobile sportsbook footprint to every state in the US, we are eager to begin working with Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
“We look forward to the opportunities that lay ahead and remain optimistic that Kansas lawmakers will enact common sense legislation that will benefit the state and its constituents.”
From their end, Boot Hill is excited for the deal as it sees the sports entertainment platform – the highest rated in the country – potentially become available to its customers.
