Sports Information Services reinforces commitment to US horse racing with Content Services subsidiary.

Sports Information Services (SIS) has launched a US subsidiary, SIS Content Services, as it doubles down on its commitment to the company’s American sportsbook and horse racing stakeholders.

SIS has been an active player on the US scene for some time now, especially in the parimutuel pool betting market, but the company’s new subsidiary will offer a full turnkey solution to prospective B2B customers.

With a portfolio of over 30,000 horse races, 38,000 greyhound races and more than 100,000 esports events, SIS claims its new business segment can offer comprehensive real-time data and video feeds, trading services, and liability management.

Commenting on the launch of Content Services, Richard Ames, SIS CEO, said: “SIS will provide customers with access to the world’s best horse racing content, 30 years of distribution experience, and turnkey technology with the capacity to generate new revenues both on and off-track.

“Our offering comes with all the products and services required to satisfy stakeholders across the industry and will add significant value to their own proposition.”

Content Services will be led by Michelle Fischer, with more key appointments to be announced in the coming months, who will helm the company as it navigates the initial regulatory hurdles any new company must endure.

“We have seen an explosion in sports betting in regulated states in the last few years. The time is now for US racing and all its stakeholders to be an active participant and reap the benefits of that growth as well,” said Fischer.

“As SIS has demonstrated for decades in the UK and Ireland, and currently in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, it is extremely well-positioned to help operators and racetracks make the most of their racing content.”
