Genius will provide official data for leagues such as the NFL to the operator.

PointsBet, an online gaming and sports betting operator, has signed a new supplier agreement with the official data and fan engagement company Genius Sports.

Per the agreement, Genius will provide its full suite of official sportsbook data, content, and fan engagement solutions to the operator.

This deal comes after PointsBet was selected as one of the NFL’s approved sportsbook operators in August, 2021. In turn, the company will now utilize Genius’ full NFL data set to power its US sports betting platform.

“PointsBet is committed to providing the fastest and most comprehensive in-play betting experience, and we look forward to enhancing those capabilities by expanding our partnership with Genius Sports,” said Johnny Aitken, CEO of PointsBet USA.

Outside of the NFL, PointsBet will gain full access to Genius’ other offerings, including data from the NCAA, Nascar, the English Premier League, as well as Argentinean, Colombian and Mexican soccer.

Lastly, Genius will offer its fan engagement solutions to the sports betting operator.

“This partnership demonstrates the inherent value of official data and its ability to revolutionize the sports betting experience around the world,” said Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports. “We are thrilled to expand our long-standing relationship as we continue to keep PointsBet powered with the fastest, most accurate sports data available.”

PointsBet, founded in Australia, is currently operational in seven US jurisdictions including Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.

This week Genius has also agreed a partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles to deliver real-time betting odds to fans inside the Lincoln Field’s sports betting lounges on game days.

"Tapping into and utilizing Genius Sports’ cutting-edge technology at Lincoln Financial Field will contribute to the world-class experience that we always seek to provide our fans on game day,” added Catherine Carlson, senior vice president, revenue and strategy, Philadelphia Eagles.

“We would like to thank Genius Sports for leveraging their industry-leading data platform in this way and for driving innovation that is creating a more enhanced game experience for fans everywhere.”
