New York’s sports betting revenue hit $1.3m for November across the state’s four sportsbooks, a month-on-month drop of 41%.
All four sportsbooks saw declines in revenue from the previous month.
Rush Street Rivers Casino and Resort Schenectady’s Kambi sportsbook saw revenue drop 45% to $549,000. The casino led the state in sports betting revenue for the fifth straight month.
Resorts World Catskills in Monticello fared second best by bringing in $467,000, despite revenue falling 8% from October.
The sportsbook is run by IGT and Betgenius.
The DraftKings sportsbook at del Lago Resort and Casino in Waterloo earned $230,000 in
revenue, a decline of 60%.
November marked the second consecutive month that the sportsbook saw its revenue decline.
The FanDuel sportsbook at Tioga Downs took in $62,000 in revenue for a drop of 60%.
New York’s sportsbooks have earned $6m since the debut of regulated sports wagering in July.
The precipitous decline in November revenue may be a result of the rise of sports betting in neighboring states Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Existing sportsbooks in New York will soon see more in-state competition as well.
Seneca Gaming Corporation, in partnership with Kambi, will introduce sportsbooks at three of its casinos.
