PokerStars coordinated with Fox Bet to bring online poker to Pennsylvania two years after the state signed into a law a bill legalizing online gambling. Both operators are owned by The Stars Group.
PokerStars went live with a soft launch Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
More than 700 cash players participated in games by Monday night. PokerStars also operates in New Jersey, where it sees a seven-day average of 70 cash players at a time, according to PokerScout.
PokerStars invited players with a number of incentives including a 100% deposit match of up to $600 and a first-deposit bonus of $30 of free play.
PokerStars also opened the state’s fourth online casino.
Fox Bet President Matt Primeaux said: “We're excited to launch PokerStars as the first and currently the only online poker option available to players in Pennsylvania.
"Including (Monday’s) launch of our highly rated casino product, which is now available in the Fox Bet and PokerStars apps, we're proud to say we're currently the only online provider offering all three forms of regulated gaming in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania."
