MGM Resorts International on Wednesday said the Nevada Gaming Control Board approved a return to 100% occupancy and no social distancing on the gaming floors inside the company’s Las Vegas Strip properties.
The list includes: Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, The Mirage, New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur.
MGM Resorts said the GCB granted the waiver based on the operator’s work to vaccinate its workforce and applies only to gaming floors.
Current 80% occupancy restrictions and three-feet social distancing policies remain in effect outside the gaming floors, including at restaurants, pools and other non-gaming areas. Mask mandates and other health and safety protocols will continue, the company noted.
MGM Resorts said it has made vaccinating its workforce, partners and the surrounding community one of its top priorities and has taken several steps to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The company's ongoing vaccination efforts include an on-site vaccine clinic for employees, an internal “Show Your Vaxx” incentive campaign that offers drawings for prizes, and a vaccine education campaign.

This vital work must continue for us to defeat this virus, and MGM Resorts is committed to doing our part to get it done.”
