Buenos Aires Lottery expands community outreach with sports equipment donations

The Buenos Aires Province Lottery has delivered sports equipment to Club San Lorenzo de Villa Castells as part of an ongoing initiative aimed at supporting neighborhood clubs and social organizations across the province.
The donation program, carried out in partnership with Telekino, has been running for two years and focuses on strengthening grassroots sports institutions. The latest delivery included 15 soccer balls, training vests and additional materials to support the club’s training activities.
The handover was led by Gonzalo Atanasof, President of the Buenos Aires Province Lottery, alongside Ricardo Sagesse, President of Telekino, and Facundo Giommi, VP of Club San Lorenzo de Villa Castells.
Atanasof said: “We are proud to close the year with a new delivery to a neighborhood club. With Telekino’s support, this initiative has been sustained for two years and allows us to assist clubs and social institutions that play a fundamental role in inclusion, development and community support.”
Founded in 1990, Club San Lorenzo de Villa Castells operates in the Greater Buenos Aires area and has seen steady growth in recent years. The club currently serves around 350 children and young people, offering soccer programs ranging from early childhood categories to senior levels.
Giommi highlighted the impact of the donation on the club’s day-to-day operations. He added: “Clubs make a constant effort to stay up to date, especially when it comes to training materials. Accessing resources is difficult, so this contribution is very important for us and encourages us to keep growing. We are even considering adding new sports disciplines in the future.”
Instituto de Lotería y Casinos oversees gaming activity in Buenos Aires Province, including lotteries, casinos, bingo halls, racetracks and regulated online gaming. In recent years, the operator has expanded its focus on responsible gaming policies and community development initiatives alongside its regulatory role.
The donation program reflects a broader trend among lottery operators in Latin America to channel resources into social responsibility efforts, particularly those linked to youth development and grassroots sports.
