Casino Pauma launches Koin payment solutions
The debut of Koin’s payment technology represents its first expansion into the San Diego County market, allowing players to utilize winnings anywhere Koin is accepted within the casino.
Koin has partnered with Casino Pauma in San Diego County to launch its digital payment solutions throughout the property, which originally opened in May 2001 and features 800 slot machines and 12 table games.
The debut of Koin’s payment technology represents its first expansion into the San Diego County market, allowing players to utilize winnings anywhere Koin is accepted within the casino.
“Casino guests enjoy a better gaming and overall casino experience by using our technology,” Koin VP of Product Integration and Business Development Patrick Schmit said.
“The rollout at Casino Pauma demonstrates the return on investment our innovative technology offers for gaming properties across the country.”

Casino Pauma is owned and operated by the Pauma-Yuima Band of Mission Indians, and is described as a “key player” in San Diego County’s casino industry.
Players at the property will no longer be required to maintain payout slips for cashout purposes, as funds will be instantly credited to their respective Koin Pay accounts.
In September, Koin appointed Sean Bowles as its new Head of Global Product, where he is currently tasked with shaping product strategy and powering growth through engagement with data and customer feedback.
