In an effort to bolster the property’s compliance team, Resorts World Las Vegas has appointed Lou Dorn to Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary as well as Elizabeth Tranchina to serve as General Counsel for the property.
Under their new roles with Resorts World Las Vegas, Dorn and Tranchina will oversee all legal, regulatory, governance and risk-related functions for the operator while helping to drive “operational excellence” and support long-term growth.
“Lou brings an exceptional depth of experience in gaming law and regulatory compliance that will be instrumental as we continue to grow and evolve. Resorts World Las Vegas President and CFO Carlos Castro commented on the appointment of Tranchina, having said, “Elizabeth brings a steady, solutions-oriented mindset to complex legal challenges.

“Joining Resorts World Las Vegas at such a dynamic time in its growth is an exciting opportunity,” Dorn said.

Furthermore, the regulatory body claimed the casino resort “operated with a culture that suggested persons with ties to illegal bookmaking were welcomed at the property.”
Under the settlement agreed upon with the Nevada Gaming Commission, Resorts World Las Vegas also began to implement stricter anti-money laundering protocols and make executive leadership changes.
