Signature Systems and eConnect integrate POS data with video surveillance

Key Points
- The integration links POS data with video to boost real-time fraud detection
- Security teams can search transactions by item, time, payment method, or employee
- Jake’s 58 Casino is the first to adopt the system as part of its expansion
Signature Systems has formed a partnership with eConnect to integrate point-of-sale systems with video surveillance technology, enabling security personnel to locate and review specific transactions through tagged video searches.
The system allows security staff to search for transactions by item type, payment method, timestamp or employee within seconds. Each transaction generates a corresponding video log that can be accessed immediately, streamlining the process of investigating suspected fraud or theft incidents.
The first property to deploy the system is Jake’s 58 Casino in New York, which implemented the technology as part of security upgrades preceding a major expansion project that began in 2024 and will double the facility’s size.
Evan Proios, Deputy Director of Information Technology at Jake’s 58, said: “Security remains a top priority at Jake’s 58. Being selected as the first gaming property to implement this integration provided us with an additional security tool to protect both guests and staff.”
As the companies plan to expand the integration across more gaming and hospitality venues, eConnect enables this by capturing point-of-sale data and linking it directly to video management systems, which creates searchable records that combine transaction details with visual evidence.
George DiGrandi, COO at eConnect, said: “At eConnect, innovation is rooted in how we enhance the customer experience and elevate security through data integration.
“Our new partnership with SSI exemplifies this mission, seamlessly linking point-of-sale data with video management systems. This integration doesn’t just make security more robust, it drives measurable results.”
Good to know: Signature Systems has recently signed a partnership to update Prairie Flower Casino’s PoS and has extended its partnership with the Cordish Companies
John White, EVP/CTO of Signature Systems, said: “With dozens of integrations focused on gaming and hospitality, SSI has become the fastest-growing POS in the industry.”
“Our partnership with eConnect and support of Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel’s security suite is further proof of the seriousness with which we undertake our relationships with customers. Just another reason that so many casinos have made the switch.”
