IGT rebrands global lottery division as Brightstar Lottery

IGT’s global lottery division officially rebrands as Brightstar Lottery, effective immediately, becoming an independent company.

International Game Technology (IGT) announced today that its worldwide lottery arm will rebrand as Brightstar Lottery.
The transition becomes official immediately.
This follows the merger of IGT’s gaming branch with Everi, which will both be owned by Apollo.
The transaction is similar to Scientific Games’ previous split of its gaming and lottery units, where the gaming segment was rebranded as Light & Wonder, and the lottery division continued under the existing name.
Following the completion of the sale of IGT’s Gaming and Digital business to Voyager Parent, expected on 1 July 2025, Brightstar will operate as a standalone lottery-focused company, positioned to support the growth and innovation of lotteries worldwide.The launch of the Brightstar brand reflects the company’s strategy to position itself as a forward-looking global leader in the lottery industry, aiming to serve as a point of reference for innovation and development for both customers and players.

Brightstar stated its intention to continue operating across the global lottery sector, providing lottery operations, systems and technology for both retail and digital channels, as well as instant ticket services and game development.
The company also plans to continue updating its core technologies and delivering solutions through its portfolio of products, services and insights, with an emphasis on responsibility and sustainability.
