New Jersey reports $614.7m gaming revenue for May 2025, 20.5% growth year-over-year

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has released the state’s gaming revenue for May 2025, including a 20.5% increase from the prior year period for a reported total of $614.7m throughout the period.
The figure was primarily driven by casino win reported from New Jersey properties in May 2025, having grown by 10.9% year-over-year for a reported total of $265.3m. The state’s iGaming win also accounted for a significant portion of the total gaming revenue, increasing by 28.5% from the prior year period to generate $246.8m throughout the month.
Slot machine win increased by 7.5% year-over-year to nearly $194.8m, while table game win reported a notable rise of 21.9% to produce just over $70.5m for May 2025. Borgata Atlantic City witnessed the largest gaming win of any property in New Jersey for the period, generating $51.1m for an increase of 14.3% from the prior year period.
Hard Rock and Ocean Casino were the only other properties to eclipse the $30m mark for May 2025 casino win, rising by 10.8% and 8.4% year-over-year, respectively, for totals of $36.5m and $30.2m. Bally’s Atlantic City and Golden Nugget were the only New Jersey casinos to report a decrease in casino win from the prior year period, falling by 16.1% and 0.8% to account for $8.4m and $10.1m, respectively.
For iGaming, FanDuel reported the highest revenue of any operator for May 2025, having generated $54.4m and increasing 36.1% year-over-year. DraftKings was able to generate $48.1m of iGaming revenue for growth of 13.8% from the prior year period, while BetMGM and Borgata followed close behind with totals of $32.5m and $20.8m, respectively, representing increases of 42.7% and 15.1% year-over-year.

Sports wagering revenue also increased from the prior year period according to the DGE, rising by 30.2% for a total of $102.5m from casinos, racetracks and partners throughout May 2025. FanDuel once again led the way in highest revenue generated, accounting for almost $44.3m and rising by 20.8% year-over-year.
DraftKings managed to produce $28.3m of sports wagering revenue in New Jersey for May 2025, equating to an increase of 28.1% from the prior year period. Despite reporting just $6.2m of sports wagering revenue throughout the month, BetFanatics increased its total by 206.8% year-over-year.
The monthly handle for sports wagering was reported to be just over $1bn, with $967.1m having stemmed from online betting. Up to this point in 2025, New Jersey residents have wagered nearly $5.3bn, including over $5bn from online platforms alone.
