New Jersey gaming revenue increases 5% to $536.6m for April 2025

Despite the increase in overall revenue, iGaming was the only offering to witness growth year-over-year, rising by 25.2% for an April 2025 revenue total of $235.2m.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has released the state’s gaming revenue figures for April 2025, including an overall revenue increase of 5% year-over-year to $536.6m, primarily driven by 25.2% growth from the prior year period for iGaming.
Having been the only gaming type to generate an increase in revenue year-over-year, iGaming reported $235.2m of revenue throughout the month, with FanDuel claiming the highest total of any operator at $52.9m, representing an increase of 35.3% from the prior year period.
DraftKings was a close runner-up, reporting $46.9m of revenue for April 2025 and increasing by 19.5% year-over-year, while BetMGM and Borgata managed to produce monthly totals of $29.6m and $20.8m, respectively.
Casino win for the nine properties which report to the New Jersey DGE was reported to be $211m for April 2025, equating to a decrease of 2.7% from the prior year period, while the year-to-date casino win figure of $855.4m represents a decrease of 2% from the prior year period during 2024.
Slot machine win accounted for nearly $162.2m of casino win for April 2025, rising by 2.1% year-over-year as table game win fell by 16% from the prior year period for a monthly total of $48.8m.
Sports wagering revenue for casinos, racetracks and operating partners was $90.5m throughout the month, equating to a decrease of 14.8% from the prior year period. Online sports wagering generated $87.9m of the total revenue but decreased by 15.7% year-over-year, while retail sports wagering accounted for close to $2.6m of revenue, rising by 34.1%.

FanDuel managed to lead the pack in online sports wagering revenue as well despite witnessing a decrease of 16% from the prior year period to $31.8m, while DraftKings was once again second with a total of $22.4m, representing growth of 18.3% year-over-year.
For total casino win, Borgata reported the highest revenue figure for April 2025 with a total of $58.6m, rising by 0.3% year-over-year and trailed by Hard Rock Atlantic City at $41.5m, having also increased by 1% from the prior year period.
Bally’s, Golden Nugget and Tropicana each witnessed decreases in casino win year-over-year for April 2025, falling by 21.7%, 13% and 11%, respectively, for monthly casino revenues of $10.3m, $11.1m and $15.7m.
Total gross revenue taxes for hotels, casinos, iGaming and sportsbook operators were reported to be $59.8m for the month and $234.9m for the year-to-date period through April 2025.
