Blazesoft faces class-action lawsuit over misleading gaming practices
A New York resident has claimed she lost real money while playing games labeled as free-to-play. She is expecting to recover her losses as well as those affected from three years prior.

Autumn Boatner, a New York resident, filed a class action lawsuit against Blazesoft Zula Casino, Sportzino and Fortune Coins casino offerings.
In the document, she claims she lost real money while playing games that were allegedly labeled as free-to-play, calling them “predatory schemes.” Boatner’s team also referred to the platform as a “gambling trap.”
She is seeking to recover $50 in losses under the New York General Obligation Law, which was updated in 2023. In addition to her own claim, the case also covers all New York residents who lost money on Blazesoft brands within the three months prior to the filing.
The case states that Blazesoft has a dual-currency system: Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, which can’t be cashed out until the player has at least 50 Sweeps Coins.
Boatner’s legal team argued that the game’s terms of service falsely claim the platforms do not offer real-money gambling. They pointed out that players can obtain Sweeps Coins, used to play, by purchasing Gold Coin packages, where the Sweeps Coins are supposedly included as free bonuses. However, the lawyers stated that the pricing structure of these packages reveals that users are, in reality, paying for Sweeps Coins, contradicting the platform’s claims.
Besides, the platform is allowing anybody under the age of 18, going against the mentioned law, which only allows those over 21 to access casinos and gambling apps.
While Blazesoft claims to be an established company with over 4 million users in Canada and the USA, the lawyers say: “They are actually sham companies that have no offices, employees, assets, or control over any aspect of the online casinos they purport to operate.”
