Starkel Capital Management (SCM) has made a recent investment into Atlas World Sports in hopes of accelerating the fantasy sports data provider’s rollout while strengthening its position within the sports betting market.
The investment firm is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and specializes in identifying high-potential growth companies. Through its inaugural fund, Natural Selection Fund I, the company focuses on providing strategic capital to accelerate growth and unlock value in businesses across various sectors.
“Atlas World Sports is revolutionizing the way sports fans engage with betting by integrating advanced AI-driven insights and real-time data aggregation,” SCM Managing Partner Beau Starkel said.
“We are excited to support their expansion as they continue to disrupt the market.”
During October 2024, Atlas World Sports acquired LockSpread.com to further strengthen its fantasy sports offerings. The provider has official agreements with major professional leagues such as the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, PGA and UFC, as well as with sports betting operators including BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars and ESPN Bet.
