Delaware Park Casino contributes over $130k to local charities during 2024

The property donated and raised funds for 12 different local charities, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Food Bank of Delaware.

Throughout 2024, Delaware Park Casino has donated and raised over $130k for 12 different local charities, hosting events such as the inaugural Bark at Del Park, a Halloween-themed blood drive, a toy drive and Deck the Halls for a Cause. 

In addition to donating money, the casino educated patrons about each charity, its mission and ways people could show support without a monetary donation.

Nonprofits that received contributions from Delaware Park Casino include the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Children & Families First, Boys & Girls Club of Delaware, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, the Blood Bank of Delmarva, Toys for Tots and the Food Bank of Delaware. 

On February 14, Delaware Park Casino will host a Valentine’s Day-themed blood drive to benefit the Blood Bank of Delmarva, with presenting donors receiving $20 in slot play for their participation. 

Good to know: Throughout December 2024, Delaware’s sports betting handle reached $28.4m, with $16.5m having been generated by Delaware Park Casino

“We continue to marvel at the generosity of both our team and our valued guests,” Delaware Park Casino President and GM Terry Glebocki said. 

“Like so many of our guests, the majority of our team members live in Delaware. As a landmark in this community, Delaware Park Casino is proud to support these vital organizations who support Delaware residents every day.”

During October 2024, Delaware Park Casino broke ground on its new $5m outdoor slot patio, which is set to be completed in the spring of 2025 and follows a $10m renovation of the property’s casino floor.
