Georg Washington, founder and CEO of Synergy Blue, has announced that he is resigning from his position with the arcade-style and skill-based gaming company.

In a letter published on LinkedIn, Washington wrote that he will leave his role in early 2021.

“It’s been an incredible journey at Synergy Blue with an amazing team,” Washington wrote. “I am very proud of the hard work the team has done and what we have accomplished in such a small amount of time.”

Washington founded Synergy Blue in 2013 out of Palm Desert, Calif. In 2019 the company relocated its headquarters to Las Vegas.

Synergy Blue has steadily improved its offerings of Class II and Class III gaming platforms. Washington wrote in his resignation notice that in recent years the company has launched a new cabinet series and created an online division for its games.

“We have won awards, expanded our reach to the global market and grown from industry newcomers to the leaders in skill-influenced gaming,” Washington wrote. “And we’ve had fun all along the way.”

Washington did not specify what he will do next but said he will be starting his next chapter as an entrepreneur. He did not say who will succeed him as Synergy Blue CEO.

“I am handing over the reins at Synergy Blue to an extremely capable team,” Washington wrote. “I wish the company and its investors all the success in the world.”
