Delaware North partners with Playtech to power mobile platform Betly

Betly offers mobile sportsbook and casino play options
Key Points
- Playtech will offer its online gaming platform solution for the Delaware North-owned Betly
- Betly will replace MVGBet in its affiliate partnership with Miami Valley Gaming
Delaware North has partnered with Playtech, with the provider set to offer its online gaming platform, content and services to Betly, Delaware North’s mobile sportsbook and casino.
Delaware North will gain access to a range of Playtech tools and products, including BetBuddy, a responsible gaming technology that provides insights into problem gambling behavior.
The first version of the mobile sportsbook and casino, Betly Ohio, was launched using Playtech’s platform earlier this month. The app replaced MVGBet, and takes its place in an affiliate license deal with Miami Valley Gaming, a joint venture in connection with Delaware North located between Dayton and Cincinnati.
The Betly sportsbooks in Arkansas, Tennessee and West Virginia are expected to be migrated to the Playtech platform over the next few months.
On the partnership, Delaware North Chief Interactive Gaming Officer Lee Terfloth said, “We are very pleased to partner with Playtech to provide Betly customers with an enhanced mobile sports betting and online casino experience powered by an industry leader.
“Not only that, but our team can now offer players robust promotional features through the Playtech platform, which will allow Betly to offer customers an array of enticing and personalized offerings, including bonus bets, boosts, drawings and tournaments. As a result, customers will experience tailored content to engage them based on their historical betting activity.”
Playtech has partnered with a range of operators across the States. After launching a new live casino studio in Pennsylvania late last year, Playtech partnered with bet365 in the same state, intending to bring new games and solutions to bet365 players in the state. Playtech also partnered with Boyd Interactive, to bring iCasino titles to Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
On the topic of live casino, MGM Resorts partnered with Playtech this summer to provide live casino content from two Vegas-based MGM casinos, MGM Grand and Bellagio Resort & Casino. The live casino content is available via MGM Live and is available to license outside of the US.
We spoke to Shimon Akad, Playtech COO, and Christian Stuart of MGM Resorts about the deal on the Huddle.
