The Federal Aviation Administration has recently issued approval for the North Strip LVXP project, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal local news report.
The commission cleared the project of any high restrictions as well.
The Clark County Commission is scheduled to meet next month to conduct a hearing on the project, local news said.
Once completed, the LVXP resort will feature a 752-foot, 2,605-unit hotel and condominium, along with a 6,000-seat theater and an 18,000-seat NBA-ready arena, as well as casino and retail components.
The Winchester Town Advisory Board gave the project unanimous support, local news said.
However, neighbors to the site had raised concerns regarding parking, traffic and financing. Residents also questioned if the three project towers would block their views.
Good to know: The resort will occupy the space between Fontainebleau Las Vegas and the Sahara
The team for the LVXP projected responding by telling advisory board members that the group would “continue to have meetings with homeowners associations of the Turnberry Towers to answer questions about their development plans.”
LVXP representatives told the Review-Journal that financial institutions “are lining up” to fund the project and said that they could be approached until the group received an entitlement from the county at a future meeting.
Drainage and complete traffic studies would also need to be completed before the project can move forward, LVXP representatives said.
