SLGA grants approval to Jackpot Digital

The approval follows the signing of a licensing agreement with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority to install Jackpot Blitz dealerless poker ETGs.
Jackpot Digital announced that it has received approval from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) to act as a registered supplier of gaming supplies and services to regulated casinos in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
The approval follows Jackpot Digital’s signing of a licensing agreement with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) to install the manufacturer’s Jackpot Blitz dealerless poker ETGs into SIGA casinos.
SIGA operates seven casinos and Playnow.com in Saskatchewan. At the outset, SIGA proposes to install Jackpot Blitz machines at its Dakota Dunes and Gold Horse Casino properties, located in Saskatoon and Lloydminster, respectively.
“We are excited to receive approval as a gaming equipment supplier in Saskatchewan. This represents the first major jurisdictional, non-tribal license received by Jackpot during our continuing expansion into the land-based casino market,” Jackpot Digital CEO Jake Kalpakian said.
“We have many more license applications underway in the US and other Canadian provinces, which will dramatically impact our ability to accelerate the rollout of Jackpot Blitz across North America.”
Jackpot has announced land-based installations or orders in Canada and the US, including California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, Saskatchewan, US Virgin Islands, Washington, as well as several international jurisdictions.
Jackpot Digital also recently established a payment schedule between itself and major debentureholders over outstanding debentures, which now totals close to $5.5m with interest.
Under the terms of the deal, Jackpot made a payment of $900,000. This payment has reduced the company’s outstanding debt by half.
The contract and payment resulted in an accrued interest amount of $2.8m of the total debt to be forgiven. The total owed now stands at $1.8m.
