Fanatics sportsbook launches in DC through Spirit partnership
The operator has entered into an agreement to become the NWSL team’s official sports betting partner.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming has announced that its online sports betting platform is now live in the Washington DC market through a partnership with the Washington Spirit, a women’s soccer club competing in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
The operator also announced that its agreement will make Fanatics sportsbook the team’s official sports betting partner and secure market access around the area.
“As we continue to build out our sports betting business, we are excited to partner with the Washington Spirit,” Fanatics Betting and Gaming CBO Ari Borod said.
“We will look to grow the Fanatics sportsbook alongside the growing popularity of women’s soccer and women’s sports generally across the country.”
The partnership signifies Fanatics sportsbook’s first team sponsorship deal with a professional women’s sports organization. The deal includes marketing assets such as in-stadium signage, digital marketing, Audi Field activations for soccer fans and many other opportunities.

“This is another indication of the momentum surrounding the Spirit and women’s sports. This collaboration gives us the chance to enter the sports betting space with a trusted brand, all while staying true to our commitment to integrity, empowering women and creating great experiences for our fans.”
Washington DC is one of many expansion efforts Fanatics Betting and Gaming has made throughout 2024, as the operator is now available in 23 markets across the country. Fanatics Casino is also open to residents in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
On September 5, Fanatics sportsbook announced the launch of a retail sportsbook location under a new partnership with Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
The Fanatics sportsbook at Ocean Casino Resort is located inside The Gallery, a 12,000 sq ft gaming and bar experience that serves as the centerpiece of the casino.
