There are specific dates for different job roles.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort, based in California, has announced that it will be hosting a number of job fairs throughout this month as it looks to fill over 100 positions.

Starting with an open job fair on Saturday August 3 with an open job fair and finishing with a culinary-specific job fair on Wednesday August 28, there will be a number of opportunities for people to explore roles with the resort.

Some of the open positions cover a range of areas such as housekeeping, food and beverage, security, table game dealers, and culinary, with Thunder Valley advising people to complete an online application before they arrive at the scheduled job fairs.

There will be walk-in interviews conducted during the job fairs with positions covering both full-time and part-time roles and though there are specific days scheduled for particular job roles, Thunder Valley has said applicants who can’t attend a specific job fair date can still attend any of the other job fairs taking place throughout the month.

In the last year, other resorts have also opted to host hiring events as they look to fill positions, with Fontainebleau Las Vegas holding a five-day one back in September, covering 6,500 roles, and Rio Hotel & Casino hosting two hiring fairs in late 2023 for over 100 full-time and part-time staff.

In other personnel news, the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Commission (KHRGC) has announced the appointment of Susan Speckert as its new COO, starting the role on August 19.
