The Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance in Brazil has published ordinance 1.207, a document establishing the rules and regulations for fixed-odds betting operators.
Ordinance 1,207 focuses on the technical requirements fixed-odds betting must meet for their online gaming and live gaming studios.
According to the new ordinance, fixed-odds betting operators are now required to possess a license from an organization that is recognized by the Prizes and Betting Secretariat. Operators must also present a payout out that lists all the winning outcomes prior to the start of bets.
In addition to the requirements, the ordinance outlined the potential ramifications for noncompliance by saying, “Any component whose failure or compromise may lead to the loss of the bettor's rights, loss of revenues of the Union or legal recipients, impediment or difficulties in the regulator's access to operational information, occurrence of unauthorized access to betting system data, or non-compliance with the rules that regulate the operation of fixed-odds betting in the country.”
In other national news, crash game supplier Aviatrix recently extended its LatAm reach through a partnership in Brazil with Casa de Apostas.
The operator was among the first to gain access to Brazil’s growing online gaming market, the company said.
Aviatrix's partnership with Casa follows the recent launch of a new game splash screen in celebration of the São João festival.
