Thunderkick has officially launched in Ontario, going live with international operators PokerStars and LeoVegas.
Back in January, the company underlined its intention to enter the Canadian province by attaining a license to operate in the jurisdiction, viewing it as a key territory for its long-term growth strategy.
This also follows the recent news whereby the independent slots studio entered the US market through a partnership with High 5 Casino, specifically in the sweepstakes market.
Now, an initial offering of games including 12 Bolts of Thunder, Xterminate, Midas Golden Touch 2, Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath and Midas Golden Touch Reborn, will go live within a month of the launch to PokerStars and LeoVegas players in Ontario.
Ontario, as well as Italy, Portugal and Sweden, are seen as central markets for the provider.
Thunderkick Chief Commercial Officer Svante Sahlström said: “Ontario is one of the most significant strategic moves for us this year, and I think we’ll look back on it as an important marker in the company’s development.
“Partnering with two prominent brands in PokerStars and LeoVegas highlights our drive to deliver on our long-term strategic goals in the continent as we continue to work towards providing the ultimate player experience.
“The market entry is the latest step in Thunderkick’s progressive worldwide expansion goals, proving that independent slots studios can operate on a global scale and develop a player base across continents by prioritising high-quality games.”
In related news, Xtremepush recently announced a deal with Casino Time in Ontario, to integrate its player engagement product suite into the operator’s platform.
