Moneymaker Tour returning to Hard Rock Cincinnati in September
Schedule will include 15 trophy events that guarantee more than $1m in prize money.
From Sep. 17 – 30, the Moneymaker Tour will be returning to the Hard Rock Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio to see poker players once again battle it out on the tables after Joseph Bakun took home more than $200k in last year’s event. Bakun was one of 788 players seated for the $1,500 Main Event, including creator of the Tour Chris Moneymaker and World Series of Poker champion Joseph McKeehen.
“Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati will team up with the Moneymaker Tour for a return in 2024. Hard Rock Cincinnati is grateful to be a part of the fastest growing poker tour in 2023,” Hard Rock Cincinnati Manager of Poker and Sportsbook Christopher Herbert said.

Moneymaker and Burns, Executive Manager of the Tour, created the Moneymaker Tour in 2023 so poker players could receive the same opportunities and moments as Moneymaker did while playing. Moneymaker won the 2003 World Series of Poker and is an ACR Team Pro. His 2003 win is said to have revolutionized poker because he was the first person to become a world champion after qualifying on an online poker site. This has been referred to in the press as the “Moneymaker effect.”

The Tour has also recently announced new venues including a first visit to Las Vegas from June 28 – July 6 at the MGM Grand and its first international Main Event at Casino Aruba in October. Since its inception, there have been eight events throughout Florida, Cincinnati and Houston.
