The signing comes on the heels of improved offerings for golf betting at Fanatics Sportsbook.

Two-time PGA Championship winner and former world number one, Justin Thomas, has signed a partnership agreement with Fanatics Sportsbook ahead of his home state Kentucky hosting the Championship starting May 16.

As the first official sports betting partner of Fanatics Sportsbook, Thomas will be expected to help highlight product enhancements, create social content and engage with the Fanatics community over the next year.

“I am excited to be the first official partner of the Fanatics Sportsbook. Whether it's football, basketball or golf, I'm a big sports fan. So I’m looking forward to getting involved in the world of Fanatics and engaging with their customers,” Thomas said.

The partnership with Thomas comes after an attempt from Fanatics Sportsbooks to improve golf offerings on the app. The inclusion of data visualization, an odds factory and the chance for customers to stream par three holes directly in the app are changes made in the hopes of creating a clearer betting environment for golf fans.

“Justin Thomas is one of the biggest names in golf and an amazing ambassador for the game. With him coming home to Kentucky to try to win his third PGA Championship, the Fanatics family couldn't be more excited to partner with him,” Fanatics Betting and Gaming CBO Ari Borod said.

Fanatics Sportsbook will also have a special FanCash for Birdies offer over the course of the PGA Championship. Customers will need to opt in and place a qualifying wager on any golfer to win the PGA Championship outright. Those customers will earn FanCash for every birdie the golfer they bet on to win records in round one of the event.

Fanatics Sportsbook originally launched its app in Kentucky on September 28, 2023, the same exact date mobile sports betting became legal in the state as well. The sportsbook most recently expanded into New Jersey and Illinois.
