The agreement gives Ontario-based NorthStar the rights to official league data and branding.

NorthStar Gaming is now an authorized gaming operator for the NBA, meaning it will provide its betting platform to the league. As part of the agreement, NorthStar Bets will give Ontarian NBA bettors access to its real-time sports data.

The NorthStar Bets platform will now include NBA franchise marks and logos, as both parties seek to emphasize this new partnership. They will collaborate to ensure responsible gambling is conducted on the platform and the NBA’s integrity is protected, avoiding betting scandals that have rocked other sports leagues in recent times.

NorthStar Gaming CEO Michael Moskowitz commented: “As an Authorized Gaming Operator, NorthStar Gaming will connect our players with official data and stats from the NBA and provide them with an insights-packed user experience.

"We're excited to offer current and future NorthStar Bets players with an authentic NBA experience on our platform."

NorthStar Bets is committed to providing Ontarian sports fans with a “uniquely, premier user experience,” demonstrated by its creation of the Ultimate Toronto Parlay, a game made exclusively for local fans.

The agreement builds upon previously announced partnerships from NorthStar Gaming that aim to provide consumers with more pre-game and live in-game betting opportunities across several leagues, including the NBA and NHL.

The NBA has previously shown eagerness to team up with betting operators, as shown by its multi-year partnership with Sportradar. The two companies launched Virtual NBA in August, a computer-generated betting solution that provides operators with over 3,000 engagement opportunities each day.

NorthStar Bets is partnered with sportsbook supplier Kambi.
