ACR Poker welcomes high-stakes legend Tom Dwan as a Team Pro

Dwan is excited to be part of the team.

High-stakes poker player Tom Dwan has joined ACR Poker (formerly Americas Cardroom) as a Team Pro. Dwan currently holds the record for winning the largest televised cash game pot.

Dwan began his career as a poker player nearly 20 years ago. He started with a small bankroll and through the years rose through the ranks because of his “aggressive, bold playing style.”

During Full Tilt Poker’s Million Dollar Cash in 2009, Dwan won the televised game pot against Phil Ivey for a prize total of $1.1m.

Dwan went on to surpass his previous cash prize high last year by winning $3.1m during Hustler Casino Live’s Million Dollar Game against Wesley Fei.

Dwan expressed his enthusiasm to join Team Pro by saying, “I’m really excited to be joining the ACR team.

“CEO Phil Nagy and I share a similar view on online poker and I’m excited to see where this relationship can take us and grow the game for players.”

Dwan will team up with other well-known poker stars that include 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker, Chris Moorman and Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero.

An ACR Poker representative said that the company is eager to welcome Dwan to the team.
