Maryland February results; casino revenue totals $159.2m

Maryland Lottery and Gaming has released the state’s casino results for February 2024. The state’s six casinos generated a total of $159.2m, up 1.4% year-over-year. Total state contribution came to $67.8m, up 1.3% year-over-year.

MGM National Harbor 

MGM National Harbor, which consists of 2,276 slot machines and 207 table games, made $66.8m in February 2024. From last February this is growth of 1.9%, or $1.2m.  

Of this, $39.6m was generated by slot machines, with an average win of $599.61 per unit. Table games, meanwhile, made $27.2m.  

Live! Casino & Hotel 

The second-highest revenue generator was Live! Casino & Hotel. Hosting 3,860 slot machines and 179 table games, the casino made $59.3m in February 2024, up 6.5% year-over-year. Of this, slots made $43.7m, while table games made $15.7m. 

The average win per slot machine unit at Live! Casino & Hotel was $389.65.  

Horseshoe Casino  

One of three year-over-year falls reported by Maryland casinos, Horseshoe Casino was down 8.2%, amassing $15m. Of this, the casino’s 1,371 slot machines made $10m, while the remaining $5m was made by the casino’s 115 table games. 

Hollywood Casino 

Hollywood Casino saw the smallest growth of Maryland’s casinos, up 1.4% year-over-year for a total of $7.4m. The casino’s 689 slot machines made $6.3m with a win per unit of $313.94, while its 23 table games accumulated the remaining $1.1m.  

Ocean Downs Casino 

Ocean Downs Casino was also down in terms of revenue, with a decline of 7% year-over-year. Making $6.3m, this was a drop of $0.5m. 

Of this $6.3m, $5.6m was made by slot machines – 88.9% of the casino’s revenue. Machines had an average win of $225.59 per unit, while the remaining $0.7m was made by the casino’s 19 table games. 

Rocky Gap Casino 

The biggest decline in revenue was reported by Rocky Gap Casino, which reported a fall of 18.6% year-over-year for a total of $4.3m. The 620 slot machines generated $4m in February, while the remaining $0.3m was made by the casino’s 19 table games.
