Nevada governor advises residents to stay home for two weeks or risk further restrictions

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak is urging residents to stay home for the next two weeks as Covid-19 cases steadily climb in the state.
Sisolak held a press conference Tuesday where he warned that he might bring back tighter restrictions.
“Nevadans need to change behaviors immediately,” Sisolak said. “if we don’t make progress over the next 14 days, I will be forced to take stronger action.”
On Sunday Nevada reported a record high of daily new cases at 2,068. The state is averaging over 1,000 new cases a day this month.
Sisolak is optimistic he won’t have to order the shutdown of businesses akin to what occurred between mid-March and July.
“If we take action now, we can keep our businesses open and reduce the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
