Brant Coulter named Director of Food & Beverage at Gun Lake Casino

Coulter comes from a background of 20 years in the food and beverage industry, including roles at Firekeepers and Four Winds casinos.
Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan has appointed Brant Coulter as its new Director of Food and Beverage Operations. Coulter, former Executive Chef, at Firekeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, has also previously served as the Director of Food and Beverage at Four Winds Casino and has been in restaurant industry for over 20 years.
Gun Lake Casino, owned and operated by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of the Pottawatomi Indians (also known as the Gun Lake Tribe), has several dining options including: Grab & Go, CBK (Craft Bar Kitchen), Harvest Buffet, 131 Sportsbar and Shkodé Chophouse. Shkodé is the Pottawatomi word for fire.
Coulter will oversee all the above dining options. In his previous role at Firekeepers Casin Hotel, he managed 350 employees and eight dining options including the AAA Four Diamond designated steak and seafood restaurant, Nibi.

Gun Lake Casino announced a $300m expansion in 2021 and had purchased over 1,200 acres of land by November last year. The casino’s website includes a timelapse of construction, and shows that the expansion is currently in phase 5.
The expansion will include a new hotel lobby bar, the 137-seat Sandhill Café restaurant, and the Wawyé Oasis — which will feature two separate pools in an enclosed 32,000 square-feet glass atrium.
