DraftKings partners with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to offer responsible gaming resources

Players who are self-excluded can receive a mental health assessment at no cost.

DraftKings has collaborated with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to provide additional support to its customer base in Colorado. The two will work in tandem to offer those around the state who suffer from problem gambling access to education and resources.

Starting next month, DraftKings users who are participating in self-exclusion programs can receive complimentary and a comprehensive mental health assessment by a Kindbridge health professional. Players can begin their recovery from problem gambling with educational and peer support groups.

Kindbridge Behavioral Health Founder and CEO Daniel Umfleet discussed the organization’s continued focus on assisting players in developing responsible gaming habits.

He said, “At Kindbridge, we are committed to making a positive impact on individuals affected by gambling disorder. Our collaboration with DraftKings is a significant step forward in delivering timely and comprehensive care to those who need it most.

“By combining our expertise in behavioral health with DraftKings’ reach and influence, we can help at-risk players on their necessary journey toward recovery.”

DraftKings said that it hopes players will not only receive help and recovery but will also pass along these resources to help others.

DraftKings Chief Compliance Officer Jennifer Aguiar elaborated further by saying, “Our commitment to responsible gaming is unwavering. This collaboration with Kindbridge Behavioral Health allows us to provide direct access to care for our players who may be experiencing challenges related to gaming.

“We want to ensure they receive the support they need to make informed decisions and seek help when necessary.”

Kindbridge has also partnered with BetMGM in Colorado to offer BetMGM’s players who have self-excluded a similar recovery program.
