New York to allow casinos to reopen next week

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said the state’s casinos can reopen next week at reduced capacity.
Cuomo said casinos can reopen as early as 9 September with capacity limited to 25%. Casinos also must install enhanced air filtration systems.
The state’s ruling applies to New York’s four commercial casinos: del Lago, Rivers Casino, Resorts World Catskills and Tioga Downs. Racetrack casinos can also reopen.
The New York State Gaming Commission has not yet approved table games at casinos according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
Table games will be approved on condition of physical barriers between customers.
New York is one of the last states to allow commercial casinos to reopen. The state’s tribal casinos have been open since June.
According to the American Gaming Association, 457 of 524 commercial casinos have reopened as of early September.
