Las Vegas visitation down 71% in June

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitation Authority reported that 1.1m people visited the city in June, down 71% from a year ago.

Las Vegas brought in no convention attendance for the month compared to 514,000 convention attendees from June 2019.
Total occupancy reached 41% percent for the month, a decline of 51%. Weekend occupancy hit 51%, while midweek occupancy was 37%.
Strip occupancy outpaced downtown occupancy 40% to 36%.
Revenue per available room was $42.56, a drop of 62%. The average daily room rates for June was $104, down 14%.
Average daily auto traffic decreased by 13%, while traffic at the I-15 Nevada-California border was down 16%.
