Elys Game Technology gains green light to operate in Ohio
The Commission-granted Type C sports gaming license will last for the next five years.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) has granted Elys Gameboard Technologies a Type C sports gaming proprietor license, effective January 1. The company will have access to Ohio’s commercial market for the next five years.
Elys said in a release: “The commencement of betting transactions in Ohio remains subject to ongoing proprietor suitability and continuous maintenance of compliance requirements of the Ohio Lottery as well as any additional required compliance and certifications for the duration of the license.”
Elys Gameboard is a subsidiary of Elys Game Technology, an interactive gaming and sports betting technology company. It operates in multiple countries worldwide and currently has operations in six US states.
The group said in an official statement: “With over 30 plus years of experience in the small business leisure betting sector, the company intends to invest in the right infrastructure to protect the integrity of the market and prior to launching, ensure problem-free operations for our hosts for years to come.
“We, and our partners, are committed to providing the best possible solution for sports bettors and long-term prosperity for our host operators in Ohio.”
Elys offers gaming products and services, such as sports betting, esports, virtual sports, online casino, poker, bingo, interactive games and slots. The company recently issued a letter to its shareholders, which was written by Executive Chairman Michele Ciavarella.
The letter addressed the company’s direction and accomplishments in the wake of recent market turmoil in both the US and global commercial markets, as well as its recovery during the global pandemic.
