Maverick Gaming closes deal to acquire Evergreen Gaming Corporation for $80.5m
The company obtained the green light from Washington State’s regulator to complete the transaction.
Maverick Gaming has gained regulatory approval regarding its acquisition of Evergreen Gaming Corporation. The company was issued with the approval by the Washington State Gambling Commission.
Maverick Gaming completed its transaction for Evergreen Gaming for a cash total of nearly $80.5m. The company gained Evergreen Gaming’s assets and shares under the terms of the completed deal, adding to its total of 31 casinos, as well as manufacturing companies and hotels in Washington State, Nevada and Colorado.
Evergreen Gaming has four cardrooms throughout Washington State that include Chips Casino in Lakewood, Goldies Casino in Shoreline, Palace Casino in Lakewood and Riverside Casino in Tukwila.
Maverick Gaming CEO Eric Persson said: “Strategically, this acquisition is crucial to Maverick’s continued dominance in Washington State. We expect there to be enormous consolidation as well as operational and marketing benefits to our company as a result of this transaction.
“Maverick will move swiftly to integrate these two companies in all aspects, and we expect to see benefits from this purchase by January.”
Maverick Gaming recently took the next step toward cashless gaming by implementing Acres’ CMS+ and Cashless Casino technology applications. Both systems are designed to streamline casino management and enhance player engagement.
Maverick Gaming COO Justin Beltram described Acres’ technology as an “ideal fit” for Maverick’s casino operations. He also commended the management team for its tenancy during the selection process.
Acres anticipates both of its solutions at Maverick will go live during the first half of next year, pending regulatory approval.
