First month at Hard Rock Casino in Bristol sees $11.7m in revenue
The temporary facility was approved by the Virginia Lottery in April of 2022.
Through its first month of business, the Hard Rock Casino in Bristol, Virginia brought in $11.7m in revenue at its temporary facility located at the former site of the Bristol Mall.
The Virginia Lottery revealed the numbers earlier this week, displaying that the Hard Rock Casino generated over $2.1m in taxes paid to the Gaming Proceeds Fund for the first month of activity as well as nearly $12m in revenue.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino President Allie Evangelista commented: “These results show strong customer interest during our first month of operation.”
On July 8, the casino opened at the temporary location we mentioned above and is planning to build a permanent location within the next two years.
Virginia Lottery records show that slots generated $10.3m in revenue while table games accounted for almost $1.5m in revenue.
The Virginia Lottery also revealed that the Regional Improvement Commission will receive $703,000 for the month of July, the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund will get $16,873, and the Family and Children’s Trust Fund will receive $4,218.
Evangelista continued: “We are pleased that our guests are enjoying a fun, friendly gaming and dining experience, thanks to our hard-working and dedicated team members.
“We look forward to this continued success as we build Hard Rock brand loyalty with customers from Bristol, the region and neighboring states.”
Earlier this month, the sports wagering activity report was released for the month of June. Between June 1 and June 30, 2022, Virginians wagered over $295m, 25% higher than June 2021.
As of June, thirteen licensed operators were active and accepting mobile sports wagers in Virginia.
