DraftKings reaffirms commitment to ESG initiatives in new sustainability report
The company has worked with various charities and organizations during the past year to bring about positive change.
DraftKings has published its 2021 Sustainability Report. The report contains company insights into its environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, as well as updates on DraftKings’ progress in these areas.
During the past year, DraftKings has coordinated with several foundations and charities to support its ongoing ESG goals. DraftKings donated close to $4m to various local, national and international charities during the year.
The company shared in its report a concentrated effort with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a million trees throughout the year to improve air quality.
The company also provided no-cost skills training to more than 200 veterans through its Tech for Heroes program and supported ongoing breast cancer research and natural disaster relief efforts through companywide fundraising.
It shared in the report its continuing commitment to encourage responsible gambling as well.
DraftKings CEO and Chairman of the Board Jason Robins commented: “2021 was a tremendous year for DraftKings as a business and the accomplishments we achieved were underpinned by our ongoing commitment to environmental, social and governance initiatives.

We recognize that our ESG journey is a constant evolution and remain focused on making advances in these areas on an ongoing basis.”

Its sportsbook is live in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.
DraftKings is also the official sportsbook provider of the Oregon Lottery has an exclusive market access partnership with Tulalip Tribes of Washington to bring its retail sportsbook to the state.
