Mohegan Sun Pocono to revamp restaurant and entertainment options
Announcement comes amid major hotel restoration.
More news has emerged regarding Mohegan Sun Pocono’s (MSP) ongoing facelift: a new outdoor terrace bar, entertainment venue and Topgolf Swing Suites will be added as part of what is a huge overhaul to the Pennsylvania gaming destination.
These newest additions – expected to be completed by the end of the month – come as the hotel side of the site is undergoing a $10m restoration. The overall effort is known as Project Starlight.
The outdoor bar, known as Embers Terrace, will have Adirondack seats, fire pits, drink and dining options, and live entertainment.
The bar area will be revamped as well. From here on in, it will be known as The Hive Taphouse and have food, twenty tap beers, and the aforementioned Topgolf Swing Suites, a user-friendly sports simulation game which offers revelers the opportunity to indulge in video dodgeball, baseball, football, golf and more.
President and General Manager at MSP Anthony Carlucci commented on the progress of the overall refurbishment: “These capital improvements as part of Project Starlight represent some of the most thrilling enhancements that we have ever announced at MSP.
“These offerings will not only bolster our live entertainment, but they also bring a relacing and fun-filled outdoor experience as well as an amazing Topgolf Swing Suite venue. All 238 of our hotel rooms will have a whole new look and feel by the end of the year as well.”
The destination, which opened in 2014, expects the entire project to create 50 jobs.
Carlucci finished: “We’ve already modelled a couple of room so far and the difference is remarkable. We’re confident that our guests are really going to love it.”
