Nevada tops $1bn in February gaming revenue

Nevada casinos took in $1.042bn in February revenue, a year-on-year improvement of 3%.
The state earned more than $1bn in consecutive months to begin 2020, ensuring Nevada set a strong pace before the coronavirus pandemic.
State casinos are currently closed, however, following an order from Governor Steve Sisolak on March 17 to shut down nonessential businesses.
Las Vegas Strip casinos brought in $596m last month, an improvement of 0.75%.
Total gaming for Downtown Las Vegas casinos jumped 9% to $54m.
Washoe County casinos saw a stellar February, earning $77m for a 27% increase.
Slots provided the bulk of the winnings for Nevada casinos with $648m in revenue, an improvement of 7%
Table, counter and card games revenue fell 2% to $394m.
Football led the way in sports betting with revenue of $15m, followed by basketball at $13m.
