William Hill US CEO to donate salary amidst massive furloughs

William Hill US CEO Joe Asher will donate his entire salary to pay furloughed workers who were temporarily laid off as a response to the coronavirus pandemic.
More than 600 William Hill sportsbook employees were furloughed last week according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Most of William Hill’s US retail locations are in Nevada with more in Iowa and New Jersey.
William Hill expects to rehire many of the furloughed workers once sports returns and retail locations re-open.
The company is still offering mobile sports wagering on contests including table tennis and chess.
