Insurance Office of America shares sponsorship of ClubCorp Classic with Choctaw Casinos
The deal names IOA the tournament’s official insurance broker.
The ClubCorp Classic, presented by Choctaw Casinos & Resorts and the PGA Tour Champions, have entered a four-year partnership with Insurance Office of America (IOA) as the tournament’s official insurance broker.
IOA Chairman and CEO, Heath Ritenour, said the agency looks forward to working with the ClubCorp Classic and the PGA Tour Champions.
“We’re pleased to partner with the ClubCorp Classic and the PGA Tour Champions as a major sponsor,” said Ritenour. “Being involved with an event with so many unique elements, including great competitions among the best PGA Tour Champions players, and world-class celebrities, unparalleled entertainment, camaraderie, and charitable support, presents an opportunity that perfectly aligns with our principles.”
ClubCorp, an owner-operator of private golf and country clubs in North America, will host the tournament at Las Colinas Country Club the week of April 19 through April 24. Players will include the PGA Tour champions, plus sports and entertainment celebrities. They will compete for $2.5m in prize money.
The PGA Tour Champions professionals will play 54 holes of stroke play for a purse of $2m and will play along with the celebrities in a separate $500,000 competition.
Celebrities confirmed to play include World Golf Hall of Fame member and 72-time LPGA winner Annika Sörenstam, 11-time MLB All-Star Pitcher Roger Clemens, Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown, and MLB network analyst and 12-year MLB standout Kevin Millar.
The ClubCorp Classic is operated by Mike Flaskey Entertainment.
