Entain, William S. Boyd School of Law partner to offer online course
The training programs in gaming law and regulation will begin January 10, 2022.
Entain and William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) have partnered to offer a new online program. This online training program is designed for operators, regulators, lawyers and others working in the gaming industry.
Courses in gaming law and regulation will be made available January 10, 2022. The program will eventually consist of eight classes designed to prepare professionals to meet the sophisticated regulatory and operating challenges facing the gaming industry.
These programs will launch during the first and second quarters of 2022 and be created and taught by instructors with decades of professional gaming and teaching experience.
This will be offered in an asynchronous format. Participants will be able to complete 20 to 25 hours of training with each course through the online portal that is designed to be completed over a three-month period. Faculty may choose to organize virtual meetings as part of the online program.
Some of the courses offered include an introduction to gaming law and regulation law with Anthony Cabot, resort and casino law with William Buffalo, introduction to Indian gaming law with Kathryn Rand and Steven Light, and player accountability and corporate social responsibility in gaming law with Alan Feldman and Dayvid Figler.
Registration information is available on the UNLV website. The cost of the course is $2,500. Participants are not required to hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or first degree of law required to practice law in international markets in order to enroll.
