ESPN reaches multi-year extension with Pamela Maldonado
The sports betting analyst was originally hired in 2024 on a non-exclusive basis, but will now become a permanent member of the ESPN network and provide exclusive betting coverage.
ESPN and sports betting analyst Pamela Maldonado have reached agreement on a multi-year contract extension to continue her coverage of college football, the NFL, golf and tennis.
“I’m grateful to keep building with ESPN. This is a place that values preparation and perspective, and that’s the work that drives me,” Maldonado said.
“I’m proud of what we’ve built so far and motivated to keep bringing clarity and real insights to the sports betting space.”
The sports betting analyst was originally hired in August 2024 on a non-exclusive basis, but will now become a permanent member of the ESPN editorial team and provide exclusive betting coverage for the media network.
ESPN Senior Deputy Editor Andrew Feldman also spoke on the new extension, having said, “Pamela has elevated our sports betting coverage by using a combination of extensive sports knowledge, analytical research and entertainment.
“We’re glad to have her back as we continue to provide fans with the best-in-class sports betting coverage they seek from our analysts.”
ESPN also came to terms on a multi-year contract renewal for on-air sports betting analyst Erin Dolan, who originally joined the company in 2017 before departing and eventually returning to the network in 2021.
ESPN VP of Fantasy & Betting Content Scott Clark stated Dolan’s role will provide “even more emphasis” on the sports she currently focuses on, including the NFL and NBA.
As part of the multi-year contract renewal, Dolan also began appearing more regularly on programming such as ESPN Bet Live, SportsCenter, Sunday NFL Countdown and more.
The two extensions also come as ESPN transitions its ESPN Bet offering to content-related purposes, having ended its sportsbook agreement with Penn Entertainment in November.
