STN Video launches sports betting platform
The move by the Canadian video publisher indicates high hopes for the sports betting market in North America.
Canadian video publishing platform, STN Video, has launched a sports betting site which will allow for better coverage and revenue. The move is emblematic of the extraordinary opportunity and growth the sports betting is seeing in the North American market at the moment.
Among the benefits that will be available with the new platform, known as STN Bets, are turnkey features that will enable access to more betting markets, there will be an increase in revenue streams that can be shared with publishers, expertly devised content, and a top-notch support team.
Management is hoping that STN Bets is going to be installed at hundreds of sites across market areas in which gambling is legal or, on account of pending legislation, soon to be legal.
STN Bets was conceived upon STN Video realizing how truly popular sports betting was among its audience. Research estimated that its followers were 200 times more likely to follow sports betting than the general population.
Said Grant Whitmore, Head of Strategic Partnerships at STN Video: “STN Bets is a natural extension of what we do already, which is helping publishers create value and capture audiences in high interest areas by delivering outstanding content, technology and monetization opportunities.
He went on to note the high market demand currently seen in sports betting: “Sports betting is on fire right now, but many publishers are at risk of being left behind because they don’t have access to expert sports betting content, have limited product development resources, lack the individual scale necessary to create favorable revenue relationships, and are not in a position to manage the complex regulatory requirements.
“We’re excited to be delivering this solution on behalf of our publishers, and believe that solutions such as these are an important part of supporting our publishing partners.
