Golden Nugget Online Gaming joins PlayPause

Multi-state technology solution supports responsible gaming efforts.

Conscious Gaming on Tuesday said Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc., (GNOG) has joined PlayPause, a recently launched multi-state responsible gaming technology tool.

Conscious Gaming is a philanthropic organization committed to using technology to propel social responsibility initiatives. The group says it works with gaming operators, regulators, advocacy groups, academics, and treatment professionals to enhance responsible gaming.

PlayPause will launch in jurisdictions where GNOG operates, New Jersey and Michigan, and in states where launches are forthcoming: Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Illinois.

Officials said PlayPause is designed to modernize and strengthen the effectiveness of the US gaming industry’s responsible gaming programs. The solution is made available to operators, regulators and sports leagues via Conscious Gaming, a new non-profit organization established by GeoComply, a provider of geolocation and compliance technology.

GNOG joins Entain/BetMGM and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board as members of PlayPause.

Conscious Gaming said the PlayPause solution will protect players who move from state to state, enable consumers to self-exclude across multiple states, and empower operators to strengthen responsible gaming programs by recognizing and protecting players if/when they seek to play in another jurisdiction.
